Derby is 20 1/2 inches at the withers and weighs 34 lbs.  She is a beautiful black and white with high set ears and freckles on her white nose and legs.

Derby possesses a high drive and a high energy.  She is active in agility training and has completed several obedience classes to complement the agility training.  She has attended a herding clinic and possesses excellent herding instinct, but being a big city dog, she has not had a chance to display this talent to a great extent.

Derby has incredible versatility and is willing to try anything.  She loves agility (of course), fetch, hide and go seek, and fishing and hiking in the mountains (on-leash and wearing a bear bell).  Despite her active lifestyle, Derby is a wonderful house dog and is a sweet and quiet companion.  She is reasonably protective and careful with the baby and small dog that also share her home.

Derby's enthusiasm for fun is absolutely contagious.  She brings energy and happiness to all
